2026 Lucie Foundation Photo Book Prize

Open to
Photographers and publishers worldwide. Photographers, editors, and curators are also welcome to submit books. Eligible submissions include exhibition catalogues, self-published books, limited editions, multi-artist and single-artist books, zines, and other photography books. Projects must have been created between September 2024 and September 2026.
Application Fee
Publishers: $75 for the first submission, with a 20% discount for each additional category of the same book submission.
Photographers: $50 for the first submission, with a 20% discount for each additional category of the same book submission.
What’s Provided
Three cash prizes:
Book of the Year: $3,000, awarded to the publisher.
First Book: $2,000, awarded to a photographer.
Self-Published: $2,000, awarded to the photographer.
The competition is juried by visual directors, curators, creative directors, editors, and photography critics.
What the Artist/Applicant Must Cover
Applicants must complete the submission form and upload a PDF of the complete book. Submissions are online only; physical books should not be shipped to the foundation.

Other Essential Notes
There is no limit to the number of submissions. Eligible categories include Book of the Year, First Book, and Self-Published, with several subcategories. Winners will be announced in Fall 2026.
