Norwegian and Norway-based visual artists with an interest in the polar regions and/or global perspectives, conversations, and issues connected to the High North. Artist duos may apply. Family members may accompany residents where possible.

What the Applicant Must Cover
Residents are encouraged to contribute to the local community through an artist talk, presentation, debate, lecture, or workshop during the residency. No additional applicant costs are specified.
Duration
Minimum of six consecutive weeks. Residency dates are arranged according to the artist's availability and Artica Svalbard's accommodation schedule.

OCA will nominate three artists for residencies taking place in 2027.
Applications are open to artist duos; travel and per diem funding is shared between duo applicants.
