What the artist/applicant must cover
Applicants must prepare digital images and materials according to submission guidelines; no mention of costs beyond this.

Submission Requirements
For print issue consideration:

  • 10–15 images from one project, sized at 300 dpi for printing

  • Project statement

  • Brief biography or CV

  • Images must be high quality (300 dpi for print)

For website feature consideration:

  • 10–15 images from one project, sized at 72 dpi and 1000 px on the long side

  • Project statement

  • Brief biography or CV

  • Alternatively, a website link specifying the project for consideration

Additional Feature Opportunities

  • The Everyday Archive: Photographic series of 3–8 images reflecting everyday Black life and cultural memory

  • The First Time I Saw Myself in a Photo…: A written reflection (150–200 words) on the first moment the artist felt seen in a photograph
