Researchers, photographers, artists with research-driven practices, historians of photography, and scholars from diverse disciplines whose projects place photography at the center of inquiry. Applications are accepted in English or French.

What the Artist/Applicant Must Cover
The fellowship provides stipend and travel support. No additional applicant costs are specified in the call.
Duration
1–2 months, with residency taking place between 7 June and 30 July 2027. Fellows must be available to begin during the second or third week of June.

The 2027 fellowship theme is Imperial Exposure, exploring the relationship between photography, architecture, and the legacies of imperialism through the CCA’s extensive photography collection. One fellowship is awarded for the 2027 cycle.
