Call for Proposals: Centre CLARK 2026–2027 Exhibitions

Centre CLARK, Montreal, QC, Canada
Eligibility
Centre CLARK invites submissions from artists, curators, and collectives working in all contemporary art media. Proposals from both emerging and established practitioners are welcome. Artists from outside Quebec are eligible for 2–3 exhibition slots each year.
Note: Applicants who have shown at Pôle de Gaspé between 2022–2025 are not eligible.
What’s Provided
$2600 CAD artist/curator fee (per CARFAC)
$250 honorarium for moderated discussion
Professional photo documentation
16 hours of production assistance by Atelier CLARK technicians
Travel reimbursement (up to $750 CAD for those outside Montreal)
Five nights' accommodation during installation (booked by CLARK)
Technical assistance for install/deinstall
One exhibition space (Room 1 or Room 2); both rooms may be provided for group shows
What the Applicant Must Cover
Any additional production expenses beyond standard support
Environmentally conscious planning and material reuse where possible
Transportation and planning of work (within or beyond the reimbursed limit)
Exhibition Dates
Rolling schedule from September 2026 to June 2027
Submission Requirements
Submit via online form (available on Centre CLARK website). The proposal must include:
Project description (max 300 words)
Artistic or curatorial statement (300 words; 100 words per collaborator)
CV(s)
Up to 20 captioned images (of past and/or proposed work)
Video links (max 10 minutes total)
Technical needs (optional)
Environmental planning and deinstallation strategy (optional but encouraged)
Floor plan or exhibition sketch (optional)
Environmental Consciousness
CLARK emphasizes sustainable practices. Applicants are encouraged to describe how their project minimizes environmental impact (material reuse, low-energy methods, etc.).

Parent Support
Artists with young children may request child care, breast-feeding accommodations, or other assistance during install/deinstall periods. Contact CLARK for arrangements.
