Collide Stockholm Residency Award

Geneva (CERN), Switzerland & Stockholm (Nobel Prize Museum), Sweden

Open to
Artists or artist collectives from any country — 18 years or older, with at least 5 years of professional artistic experience. Collectives may include up to 2 members hosted simultaneously.

Application Fee
No fee listed. The residency is fully funded.

What’s Provided

  • Travel, accommodation, and subsistence costs for the residency period at CERN in Geneva and at the Nobel Prize Museum in Stockholm.

  • Production stipend of CHF 15,000.

  • Curatorial support for development of a new artwork during or after residency, with mentorship from teams at both institutions.

What the Artist/Applicant Must Cover
No additional costs specified. Applicants must prepare and submit: personal/contact details; biography (max 500 words); artist dossier; project proposal (title, description up to 1000 words covering research at both locations + development phase; summary up to 300 words; motivation up to 500 words); optionally supporting materials.

Duration
Two-month residency: one month at CERN in Geneva and one month at the Nobel Prize Museum in Stockholm. After the residency, a development phase to complete the artwork is expected. Residency period planned for September–October 2026 (Geneva) and November 2026 (Stockholm).

Deadline
15 December 2025 (applications open from 11 November 2025) at 23:59 Central European Time.

Other Essential Notes

  • Only one proposal per artist or collective.

  • Selected artist/collective will be announced in April 2026.

  • The call welcomes proposals that combine artistic research and production of a new work, especially those engaging with science, technology, and their cultural / societal impact.
