Copenhagen Photo Festival 2026 – Solo Artist Open Call

Open to
Photographers and lens-based artists worldwide. Applicants must submit a biography, CV, project description (max 3000 characters) related to the 2026 theme “Forestillinger | Scenarios,” and at least 10 supporting images (min 1500px, sRGB). Projects may include previously shown works but not previously exhibited as a whole in Denmark. Applications must be submitted in English or Danish.

Any additional costs not listed above. Participation in programming (on-site and online) and engagement with CPF communications/media is expected.

Duration
The festival takes place in June 2026. Selected artists will be interviewed in fall 2025 and work with the curatorial team on planning.

Additional Notes

  • Theme: Forestillinger | Scenarios – exploring imagined realities and new visual narratives

  • Exhibition may take place indoors at The Royal Danish Theatre or outdoors nearby

  • Artists must consider sustainable presentation formats

  • Artists selected in the past 3 years are discouraged from applying

  • Projects previously shortlisted will not be reconsidered
