Open to
Nonprofit 501(c)3 arts and cultural organizations based in Los Angeles County. Must propose a project serving residents or visitors within the City of Los Angeles. Also open to nonprofit community-service organizations proposing outdoor festivals/parades in partnership with a tribal elder, arts curator, or agency.

What’s Provided
Grants of up to $80,000, depending on eligibility, project type, and panel score. Specific categories include:

  • Artistic Projects (Culture/History, Design-Visual Arts, Literary Arts, Media Arts, Traditional-Folk Arts)

  • SAIL-CAPE Projects (youth in-school + public event model)

  • Outdoor Festivals/Parades, with tiered funding:

    • Up to $40,000 (2,000+ attendees)

    • $15,000 (500–2,000 attendees)

    • $6,000 (<500 attendees)

What the artist/applicant must cover
Any additional expenses not covered by the grant. Must have one year of prior experience with the proposed project.

Duration
Panel scores valid for two years (allowing potential two-year funding for repeatable projects)

Additional Notes

  • Categories for dance, music, theatre, and transdisciplinary arts are not available this cycle

  • First-time and returning applicants are encouraged to attend one of several webinars or Friday office hours

  • Notifications expected by May/June 2026, with contracts and feedback issued July–September 2026
