Est-Nord-Est Regular Artist Residency 2027–2028

Open to
Professional visual artists, whether established or emerging, from Québec, Canada, and other countries.

The summer 2027 residency, curated by Cécilia Bracmort and titled Corps céleste, corps terrestre (Celestial Body, Terrestrial Body), gives priority to artists of African descent while welcoming anyone whose practice resonates with the themes explored. The curated residency is open to visual arts, dance, music, poetry, science, and interdisciplinary practices.

What the artist/applicant must cover
Materials, travel fees, and other living expenses are the resident’s responsibility.

For residents bringing children or an accompanying adult, additional lodging and babysitting costs may apply in the circumstances specified by ENE.

  • Spring: April 19–June 11, 2027

  • Summer: July 5–August 27, 2027

  • Fall: September 27–November 19, 2027

  • Winter: January 24–March 18, 2028

Any other essential notes
Applicants must submit a CV of maximum two pages, an artist statement and research/experimentation intentions of maximum one page, and a portfolio of 10–15 images in a single PDF. Video works may be submitted via Vimeo or YouTube with a password if applicable.

Residents are expected to be present for the entire residency and to present their approach/research at the beginning and their research/experiments at the end of the residency during public events organized by ENE.
