Albuquerque / New Mexico (New Mexico–based artists)
Open to
Individual visual artists and artist collectives living and working in New Mexico.
Lead artist must have a U.S. Social Security number to receive funds; does not have to be a U.S. citizen.
Not eligible: current students, 501(c)(3) organizations, commercial businesses.
Projects must be self-organized and publicly accessible.
Practice must be primarily visual art; strictly dance, theatre, or music-focused practices are ineligible.
Artists who identify as Black, Indigenous, POC, LGBTQIA+, and/or immigrant are strongly encouraged to apply.

What’s Provided
Grant funding between US$ 2,000 and US$ 10,000 per project.
Total funding pool: US$ 60,000 for 2026 cycle.
Projects supported can include experimental venues or collectives, public art, performances, publications, online/virtual works, residencies, film festivals, etc.
What the Applicant Must Cover
The budget should include all relevant costs: venue, materials, collaborators, travel, etc.
Equipment purchases are allowed but should not exceed ~25% of the total project request.
Reporting requirements: grantees must submit documentation and complete an evaluation after project completion.
Duration
Not strictly defined — projects may be one-time events, recurring, or ongoing, as long as they include a public-facing component.

Applications must be submitted via Submittable; emailed or hand-delivered applications are not accepted.
Info sessions (virtual and in-person) are offered during the application window.
