Open to
Artists based in Portugal and internationally.

All mediums are accepted, including sculpture, painting, sound, video, installation, and interdisciplinary work. Submitted works must already be completed. Previous exhibitors, residents, and collaborators with DUPLEX are also welcome to apply.

Application Fee
€25 (non-refundable), covering the submission of up to 4 artworks.

What's Provided

  • Group exhibition from 16–23 September.

  • Standard exhibition equipment, including plinths, monitors, and basic installation hardware (subject to requirements).

  • Professional exhibition photography (shared with participating artists).

  • A curatorial text produced by DUPLEX.

  • Packaging materials for return shipment if works are unsold.

  • If a work is sold during the exhibition, DUPLEX will cover shipping to the buyer.

What the Artist/Applicant Must Cover

  • Shipping and transport costs to and from the exhibition (unless the work is sold).

  • Insurance for artworks if desired.

  • Artists must arrange return shipping or collect works after the exhibition if unsold.

Duration

  • Exhibition: 16–23 September

  • Artwork delivery: 7–11 September

  • In-person drop-off: 14 September (10:00–15:00)

  • Collection/return: 24–25 September

Additional Notes

  • Artists may submit 1–4 completed artworks.

  • There are no size restrictions; works may be floor-based, wall-mounted, or suspended from the ceiling.

  • Results will be announced on 31 July.

  • Video works must be submitted via a private online link with password.

  • DUPLEX retains a 25% commission on artworks sold during the exhibition.

  • DUPLEX cannot assume responsibility for loss or damage to artworks during the exhibition.
