KinoSaito 2026 AIR Open Call

Open to
Professional working artists in all mediums. Applicants must be available for the full residency period of November 8–December 6, 2026. Currently enrolled students are not eligible. Artists must be able to transport themselves and their supplies to and from the residency site.
Application Fee
$30 standard application fee.
$25 for KinoSaito members.
What’s Provided
Four-week artist residency (November 8–December 6, 2026)
A 900 sq. ft. studio with large windows and high ceilings
Loft living quarters
Kitchenette
Private bathroom
$1,500 stipend for living costs and supplies
Opportunities to participate in open studio events with visitors viewing works in progress
What the Artist Must Cover
Meals
Art supplies and materials
Transportation to and from the residency site
Any additional living or project expenses beyond the provided stipend
Duration
4 weeks (November 8–December 6, 2026).

Other Essential Notes
Two artists will be selected through the open call.
Artists are selected by a jury of arts professionals based on the quality of submitted work and its alignment with KinoSaito’s mission.
Notification of accepted artists is scheduled for August 30, 2026.
Required application materials include contact information, artist statement, artist bio, CV, statement of intent, and a portfolio containing 7–10 images (or video links for time-based work).
