Künstler*dorf Schöppingen Residency 2027

Professional visual artists, writers (authors), composers, and artistic collectives. Applicants of all nationalities and ages are eligible to apply.

None.

What's Provided

  • Residency of 2–6 months.

  • Monthly stipend of €1,500 for individual artists.

  • Collectives receive €1,000 per member, up to €3,000 per collective.

  • Use of the Künstler*dorf's studios, facilities, and infrastructure.

  • Possibility to use exhibition and presentation spaces by arrangement.

  • Accommodation for partners, family members, or assistants may be available upon agreement and availability.

What the Artist/Applicant Must Cover

  • Approximately €100–200 per month for rent and operating costs (deducted from the stipend).

  • Travel, insurance, and material costs, except in exceptional cases where support may be approved.

  • Fellows are required to live and work at Künstler*dorf for the duration of the residency.

Duration

2–6 months.

Other Essential Notes

  • Applications are accepted for 2027 residencies.

  • Around 40 scholarship-funded residencies are awarded each year.

  • The residency is intended to support artistic research and development; there is no obligation to produce or present finished work.

  • Fellows are expected to participate in the residency community and engage in exchange with other residents.
