NEMO – Northern European Mobility Opportunity (2026)

Nordic countries, the United Kingdom, and the Republic of Ireland (cross-regional collaboration)

Open to
Individual artists and arts practitioners in the early stages of their careers who are resident in:

  • The Nordic countries (Denmark, Faroe Islands, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Åland)

  • England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales

  • The Republic of Ireland

Applicants must collaborate with a partner based in the other participating region. The programme is not open to applicants who received NEMO funding in 2025.

What's Provided

  • Grants of up to DKK 75,000

  • Funding for artistic mobility and international collaboration

  • Eligible costs may include artist fees, travel, accommodation, research, mentorships, partnership development, digital collaboration, public engagement activities, and small-scale pilot projects

  • Additional support of up to DKK 10,000 for eligible personal access costs

What the Artist/Applicant Must Cover
Applicants are responsible for arranging and managing their collaboration and any costs not covered by the grant. Applications must include a CV, a letter or email of invitation from the project partner, a timeline, and a budget.

Duration
Projects may begin from the end of November 2026 and must be completed by the end of November 2027.

Essential Notes

  • Applications are accepted online only.

  • The programme supports early-stage international partnerships rather than completed artistic productions.

  • Funding cannot be used for residencies, equipment purchases, touring, professional courses, activities already funded elsewhere, profit-generating activities, or projects that begin before funding is awarded.

  • Maximum grant: DKK 75,000, with eligible personal access costs available in addition to this amount.
