Early-career visual artists who:

• Have graduated from an arts-related course within the past few years or are self-taught artists at an early stage of their career.

• Have a growing exhibition history and would benefit from further opportunities.

• Live within easy reach of the RBSA Gallery.

• Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to making art.

• Are willing to participate in Society activities and work alongside RBSA members.

• Are interested in developing professional relationships within the Society.

Application Fee
Free.

What’s Provided

• Opportunity to exhibit in the Next Generation RBSA 2026 exhibition.

• Guidance on creative practice development, exhibition planning, and installation.

• Several exhibiting artists will be selected as Next Generation RBSA artists and receive three years of free RBSA membership.

• Benefits for selected Next Generation RBSA artists include:

  • Automatic acceptance into two RBSA exhibitions per year during the membership period.

  • Opportunity for a solo exhibition in an RBSA membership space.

  • Guidance on technique, style, and presentation.
