Notam Spatial Audio Studio Residency (Spring 2027)

Artists with experience using tools for immersive/spatial audio who are able to work independently in the studio. The residency is intended for artistic projects within spatial audio and immersive sound.

What's Provided

• Free access to Notam's Spatial Audio Studio for up to two weeks.

• Introduction to the studio with the studio manager.

• Optional feedback session with Notam staff.

• Access to a professional artistic environment and network.

• Letter of intent upon request.

What the Artist/Applicant Must Cover

• Travel expenses.

• Accommodation.

• Project and production costs.

• No artist fee is provided.

Up to two weeks (January–April 2027, depending on the project).

Essential Notes

• Applicants should have prior experience working with immersive sound tools (such as ambisonics or VBAP) and be able to work independently after the studio introduction.

• Applicants are encouraged to participate in the Notam community during their stay and to give a short presentation of their work.

• The application should include a short bio, CV with portfolio (maximum five pages) and 2–3 relevant work links, a project description, technical requirements, and preferred residency dates.

• Applicants will be notified by 3 September 2026.
