PADA Studios International Residency

Barreiro & near Lisbon, Portugal

Open to
International artists from any discipline. Applicants must be comfortable communicating in English and submit materials in English.

Application Fee
There is no separate application fee listed. The residency participation cost is €1,550 per month.

What’s Provided

• Large studio space and accommodation in a private double bedroom.

• Access to all facilities at PADA Studios.

• Structured programme of activities, including tours, presentations, and curatorial support.

• Final group exhibition and professional documentation of work.

What the Applicant Must Cover

• Residency fee (€1,550 per month).

• Travel costs.

• Meals and art materials.
  Applicants are encouraged to secure personal funding; PADA offers invitation letters to support funding applications.

Duration
Residencies can be 1 or 2 months long. Provisional 2027 periods run Jan–Feb, Feb–Mar, Apr–May, and Jun–Jul.

Deadline
March 30, 2026 (artists notified by April 22, 2026).

Additional Notes

• Preferred residency dates are selected on the application form; flexibility is helpful for scheduling.

• After acceptance, a 50% deposit is payable within 14 days to secure a place.
