PhMuseum 2026 Women Photographers Grant

Location: International; solo exhibition in Bologna, Italy

Open to: Female and non-binary photography professionals of all ages and nationalities working across diverse areas of photography. Collaborative projects are accepted if at least 50% of the team consists of female and/or non-binary photographers.

Application Fee: $40

What’s Provided:

• $11,000 in total cash prizes:

  • First Prize: $5,500

  • Second Prize: $2,200

  • Third Prize: $1,100

  • New Generation Prize: $2,200, for photographers aged 30 or younger at the time of application

• Two MPB Special Mention vouchers worth €2,500 each for used photo and video equipment.

• A solo exhibition at PhMuseum Lab in Bologna, Italy, in 2027, including travel, accommodation, and production costs.

• An online featured interview on Vogue Italia.

• Screening of shortlisted projects at PhotoVogue Festival 2027 in Milan, Italy.

• Printed features in PhMuseum’s 2027 Annual Magazine and Nineteen Hundred Magazine.

• Nine free online portfolio reviews, each lasting 30 minutes.

• Promotion on PhMuseum channels for cash prize recipients.

What the artist/applicant must cover: The $40 application fee. No other applicant expenses are specified in the call.

Any other essential notes:

• Applicants may submit one or more projects, each containing 5–20 photographs.

• Images must be uploaded in JPG or PNG format, with a maximum file size of 20 MB per image.

• Applicants retain full copyright of their photographs.

• The New Generation Prize is open to photographers aged 30 or younger at the time of application.

• The shortlist is expected to be announced before November 20, 2026.

• The final results are expected before December 2026.
