Submissions from current Sheridan College students, staff, and faculty are not considered.

What’s Provided

• Potential publication in The Ampersand Review literary magazine.

• Payment for accepted works:

• Poetry: CA$50 per poem/page up to CA$100

• Fiction: CA$100 per story

• Non-fiction: CA$100 per piece

• Reviews: CA$100 per review

What the Applicant Must Cover

• Writers must provide original, unpublished work.

• Use Google Form to upload: title and genre, contact info, third-person bio, and submission file.

• Poetry may require a PDF for atypical formatting.

• Only one submission per genre per reading cycle.

• AI-generated content is not accepted.

Reading period runs from December 1, 2025 to January 11, 2026

Deadline
January 11, 2026 (end of reading period).

Other Essential Notes

• Simultaneous submissions accepted with immediate notification if accepted elsewhere.

• Magazine acquires first North American serial and limited non-exclusive digital rights; all rights revert at publication.

• Responses to submissions may take up to six months.
