Writers, artists, and translators of unpublished fiction, poetry, nonfiction, graphic literature, and translated works. Submissions open from June 9 – August 15, 2025, via Submittable.

Submission Guidelines
Fiction & Nonfiction: Max 8,000 words
Poetry: Up to 5 poems in a single document
Comics: One piece per submission
Translations: Must include original language text and confirm rights for translation
Only one submission per genre per reading period
Simultaneous submissions accepted (notify if accepted elsewhere)
Include a brief cover letter with titles, contact info, short bio, and contributor status
Application Fee
$4 per submission
Waivers available for BIPOC and those with financial need. Email editor@arkint.org to request.
What’s Provided
Payment:
$25 per 500-word page (fiction, nonfiction, translations)
$25 per page (poetry and comics)
Maximum payment: $200
One-year digital subscription for all contributors
Print contributors receive 2 complimentary copies
