Visual artists and writers from around the world who are 21 years of age or older. Collaborative pairs (up to two people) are also eligible to apply.

Partial fellowships for all accepted residents

What the Artist/Applicant Must Cover
Travel to and from Vermont Studio Center
Residency fees not covered by fellowship support
$500 non-refundable deposit upon acceptance (for non-fellowship residents)
Duration
2, 3, or 4 weeks (Residencies taking place between July and December 2027).

Essential Notes
Applications are reviewed anonymously by rotating juries of practicing artists and writers.
Artists apply in either the Visual Artist or Writer category.
International applicants are eligible for many fellowship opportunities.
Notification for this application cycle is expected by January 1, 2027.
