When Flowers Sleep

Location: Ballon Rouge, Zaagmolendrift 12, 3035 JA Rotterdam, The Netherlands

Open to:
Photographers who are professionally active (autodidacts, professionals, or recent graduates), aged 18 or older, living or working in the Netherlands or Belgium. Only photographic work (image and/or technique) is accepted.

Application Fee:
€25 per submission; free for Friends of Ballon Rouge.

What’s Provided:
Selected works will be exhibited from November 29 to December 20, 2025 in a curated salon-style group exhibition. Ballon Rouge handles installation, printed materials, online promotion, and hosts an opening event on November 29. Sales are managed by the gallery, with a 65% (artist) / 35% (Ballon Rouge) split.

What the Artist Must Cover:
Production, framing, and delivery costs of their own work, as well as travel expenses.

Duration:
Exhibition runs from November 29 to December 20, 2025.

Deadline:
Sunday, November 2, 2025. Selected artists will be notified on November 7, 2025.

Additional Notes:
Artists may submit 1–3 framed or mounted works. Works must be ready to hang. Delivery dates for selected works: November 20, 21, 26, or 27, 2025. Unsold works can be collected in January or at the finissage on December 20.
