WUFF 13 – Winnipeg Underground Film Festival Call for Entry

Open to
Filmmakers and moving-image artists submitting contemporary experimental film and video works that deviate from traditional cinematic forms.

WUFF also accepts proposals for performance and/or installation-based work.

Stronger consideration may be given to works under 30 minutes and works completed in 2024 or later (exceptions may be made).

Maximum 3 entries per filmmaker.

Application Fee
Zero entry fees.

What’s Provided
Selected works will be screened at WUFF 13, taking place June 4–7, 2026.
IMAA screening fees are paid to selected filmmakers (excluding works shown in the 90 Second program).

Films selected for the 90 Second program (90 seconds or less) are eligible for one of three cash prizes, with a maximum prize of $300 CAD.

– Premiere status must be indicated (World, Canadian, Manitoban, or not a premiere if previously screened in Manitoba).
– Applicants must confirm they are authorized to submit the work and, if selected, authorize the festival to use short clips and/or images for promotional purposes.
– Applicants will not receive an email confirmation after submission.
